上层(海拔800~1000m以上)则以林为主,大力发展用材林,水源涵养林和药材,适当发展食用菌,实行保护性开发,增强生态效益,对山顶的森林植被必须保护,有条件的山区逐步发展旅游业。
本区山体高度一般约为1000~1500m,人类活动主要在1000m以下。800~1000m以上基本是林农湿冷气候层,南、中、北亚热带有所区别。水稻种植上限高度,中亚热带可达1200~1400m,北亚热带为900m左右。北亚热带玉米种植上限高度达1500m左右。采取分散小群放牧的方式可以利用草山发展养牛、养羊业。
温带,有广义和狭义之分。广义来讲说,除了寒带和热带以外的所有地区都属于温带,故而亚热带和亚寒带都属于广义温带的范畴。狭义的温带则不包括亚热带和亚寒带。四季分明是温带气候的zui显著特点。
我国大部分地区都属于温带气候。从分布来看,温带气候的情况比较复杂多样。根据地区的降水特点的不同,可分为温带季风性气候、温带大陆性气候、温带海洋性气候、亚热带季风气候和地中海气候几种类型。由于温带气候分布地域广泛,类型复杂多样,从而为生物创造了良好的气候环境,形成了丰富的动植物界。
有些研究者根据地球各地接受太阳照射的状况及昼夜长短的变化,将地表各地划分为五个热量带,即热带、北温带、南温带、北寒带、南寒带。介于热带与寒带之间,太阳斜射,得到中等程度的热量,为温带。北回归线与北极圈之间为北温带。南回归线与南极圈之间为南温带。气候特点主要表现为冬季比亚热带更冷,一般zui低月均温都在0°C以下。温带气候既包括比较温和多雨的海洋气候,也包括四季分明且比较干燥的大陆性气候。温带的大多数地区位于西风带内。温带处于中纬度地区,南北温度梯度大,气候有极大差异。温带如此大的面积,与实际气候特点分布差异较大。因此,广义的温带包括亚热带、暖温带、中温带、寒温带和亚寒带。狭义的温带一般又分为三个带,即:暖温带、中温带、寒温带。

The temperate zone in the narrow sense does not include subtropical and sub-frigid zones. The four distinct seasons are the most significant features of the temperate climate.
Most parts of China are temperate climate. From a global perspective, the temperate climate is more complex and diverse. According to the different characteristics of precipitation in the area, it can be divided into temperate monsoon climate, temperate continental climate, temperate oceanic climate, subtropical monsoon climate and Mediterranean climate. Because the temperate climate has a wide geographical distribution and a variety of types, it has created a good climate environment for the organism and formed a rich animal and plant kingdom.
Some researchers divide the surface of the earth into five heat zones based on the conditions of the sun's exposure to the sun and changes in the length of day and night. They are the tropical zone, the north temperate zone, the south temperate zone, the north frigid zone, and the south frigid zone.
